Milena Manova is a psychologist (Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”) and a certified practising psychotherapist since 2000, accredited by the World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy (WAPP) and the Bulgarian Society for Positive Psychotherapy (DPPB). She is a lecturer and supervisor in positive and child psychotherapy, Managing Director of the Institute of Positive Psychotherapy, and Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association for Transactional Analysis (BATA).

She has been a long-standing lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Milena is the author of the books "The Hyperactive Child" (2010, 2012), the creative kit "First Aid for Parents", "Emotional Cards", "Positum Cards", and the "Handbook of Transactional Analysis". She is also the co-author of "Why Always Me?" – Therapeutic Stories for Children and Parents, and has contributed articles to scientific journals.
Her latest work is the interactive book-game "I Sense, I Think, I Understand... My Body".

She is a lecturer and seminar leader, and a frequent guest on television and radio programmes.
Milena was awarded the Bulgarian Association for Psychotherapy (BAP) Prize for Contribution to Psychotherapy in 2018.

She practises individual and group psychotherapy in the following modalities:

  • Positive Transcultural Psychotherapy
  • Transactional Analysis
  • EMDR Psychotherapy for trauma, phobias, and panic attacks
  • Play and Child Gestalt Psychotherapy
