Teodora Todorova-Vasileva
Neoreichian Analytical Body Psychotherapist
My name is Teodora Todorova-Vasileva, and I am a Neoreichian Analytical Body Psychotherapist. Since 2025, I have been part of the team at ALMA Psychotherapeutic and Training Center, where I work as a psychotherapist and group facilitator.
Why did I choose to become a Personal Therapist?
Because every trainee embarking on the path of becoming a psychotherapist needs someone beside them—someone they can lean on with trust and feel safe with while facing their own inner challenges.
My own journey into psychotherapy began through painful personal experiences. Looking back today, I can honestly say that therapy divided my life into two chapters: before and after. It allowed me to reconnect with myself and my body, to shift my perspective, and to appreciate what I have instead of focusing on what is missing.
I was not alone on that journey. My personal therapist and my teachers stood beside me. This is why I deeply believe that, through the support—and, when needed, the constructive confrontation—offered by therapists and teachers, a person can truly rewrite their own story. And, along the way, learn the craft of psychotherapy.
It is my sincere wish to accompany people with respect and care as they encounter themselves. Although each person's challenges are unique, they often lead us to the same place—a loss of joy or becoming stuck in patterns that no longer serve us.
Together, we will explore, bring awareness, and discover that what feels frightening may not be as overwhelming as it seems. Through body awareness and conscious exploration, we will learn to recognize emotions, experiment with new ways of relating, and develop healthier patterns and responses.
I graduated from the Bulgarian Institute of Neoreichian Analytical Psychotherapy (BINAP). I am also a trainer for prospective adoptive parents and a consultant in eating disorders.
In addition, I have completed professional training in Family Constellations for Helping Professionals, Bioenergetics, Trauma Work, the foundations of Somatic Experiencing®, Attachment Issues, Parenting, Parental Alienation, and Parental Capacity Assessment.
I hold degrees in Pharmacy and Health Management from the Medical University of Sofia. For more than 18 years, I worked in international pharmaceutical companies in the field of new drug development. My experience in the corporate environment gives me an additional perspective on people's professional and personal challenges.
I am currently completing my Master's degree in Psychology at Varna Free University and continuing my training with the Bulgarian Institute for Somatic Experiencing (BISE). I am also a member of the Bulgarian Neoreichian Psychotherapeutic Society (BNPS).
One sentence from my practice has stayed with me:
"Tedi, do people allow themselves to be happy?"
"Yes. Those who allow themselves to be happy, are. Let's find the path that leads there—together."
